Guest Bathroom Breakdown

Now that several of the rooms in our house are done or *almost* done I figured I’d post about them with info about the budget breakdown and all of that.  First up is our guest bathroom, which is as done as it is going to be for now.  We still plan to replace the vanity/sink/faucet but not right away.  I hate the gold shell sinks but this project is not top of our list right now.

Here’s a reminder of the BEFORE:

and AFTER:

paint color: Restoration Hardware’s “silver sage”, color matched w/ the paint chip to Behr.  Not an exact match but good enough.
curved shower rod from Home Depot
towel bars and tp holder from Target.
shower curtain and towels from Target
“Relax, Refresh, Renew” sign ALSO from Target
framed mirror, TP basket, bath mats, and cracked glass jars from Homegoods
stainless steel swith/outlet covers from Home Depot.
stainless waste basket (not pictured) from Bed, Bath, and Beyond

Budget breakdown:

paint and supplies: $30
new hardware (including curtain rod, 3 towel bars/rings, and a tp holder): $100
shower curtain w/liner: $35
framed mirror: $30
bath mats: $15
waste basket and TP basket: $15
towels (3 bath towels, 2 hand towels, and a bundle of wash cloths): $40
glass jars: $12
3 new outlet/switch covers:  $8
wall art: $10

TOTAL:  $295!

now I imagine we will spend about that amount replacing the sink/counter/faucet in a few months but still, I feel like we made a bit impact in this room for a reasonable amount of money, what do you think?

  1. I had thought that shower curtain was from C+B or Pottery Barn! Go Target. And you and Tyler, it looks great (as I have seen with my own two eyes) and that’s not including that ridiculously large Philosophy Purity facewash in the shower. I love people who have good products, even moreso when they let me use them. 🙂
